The best time to start reading is when you are very young. Authorfest wants to help parents in that effort so we are putting a very special program just for the kids!
Let the beauty you see help you become all you can be. In the book Cloud Boy, kids of all ages will be transformed into the creative process, as we share the story of a lonely little cloud and watch him fill his world with the beauty surrounding him.
Local Artist and Illustrator, Lindsay Barrett-George, Lillian Corrigan, author, and Michelle Oram, former director of Stagestruck Kids will lead kids in an art/theatre interactive transformative storytelling experience. Ideal for kids 3 to 6 years of age.
This program will be followed by local acclaimed author Patricia Thomas, reading from her book Firefly Mountain. Peter Sylvada’s dreamy illustrations will be projected as we are transformed into a world of dreams and wishes forever branded in our hearts. There will be fun theatrical interactive games following the reading. All ages!
